Guts comparision of Laird vs cheap China antenna

Laird makes a decent quality antennas, but I decided to take shot and buy cheap one from Aliexpress. Cheap China one is marketed as a dualband 136–174 / 400–470 MHz NMO mount antenna. They did promise “3 dB VHF / 5 dB UHF” gain with 1.5:1 VSWR.

While Laird can be opened with ease by turning white base from bottom, opening a China one took a bit of effort. Surprisingly in cheap China one there was no loading or matching coil at all — just a straight conductor from the NMO pin to the radiator. Mabe in a while I will post here some S-parameter plot of it.
